Getting started
How do I create an account?
Choose Create account, enter your name, email address and a password, then confirm your email using the link we send you. It takes about a minute, and it's free during the beta.
I've forgotten my password. What do I do?
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password. We'll email you a link to set a new one. The link only works for a short time, so use it soon after it arrives.
Can I turn on two-step sign-in?
Yes. From your account you can set up two-step verification with an authenticator app. After that, signing in needs a six-digit code from the app as well as your password.
Reports
Can I download my report as a PDF?
Yes. Every AI Scan report can be viewed or downloaded as a PDF from your results page or from My Reports. You decide who to share it with.
How long do you keep my reports?
Assessments and reports are kept for up to six years, unless you delete them earlier or the law requires us to keep them longer. The privacy notice lists how long we keep each type of record.
Can I follow the same problem over time?
Yes. Choose "Track this issue" on any photo in a report. The issue gets its own Defect DNA™ ID, and you can add photos from later scans to see whether it looks the same, better or worse. Everything appears on the property's Home Timeline.
Privacy and your data
Are my photos used to train your AI?
RentProof photos and records are never used to train our AI. Photos from AI Scan may be used to improve our models, with personal details removed or obscured where practical. To opt out, email privacy@homeforensicsai.com from your account email; your reports and account aren't affected.
Can I download or delete my data?
Yes, and you can do both yourself. On your account page, download a copy of your data at any time, or close your account. Closing it turns off sign-in and anonymises your details. A few security and report-verification records may be kept where the law allows, as the privacy notice explains.
Do you sell my information?
No, never. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies either, only the essential ones that keep you signed in and the service secure.
The HF-AI app
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. The HF-AI app for iPhone and Android is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Until then, everything works in your phone's browser.
Will the app use my existing account?
Yes. You sign in with the same account, and your reports, tracked issues and Home Timeline are the same on the website and in the app.

Do you work with letting agents and housing teams?
Yes. We're running small pilots with organisations that manage many properties. See Organisations for how it works, or email contact@homeforensicsai.com.
