How it works
No complicated setup. If you can send a photo from your app, you can use the API.

Get a key
Sign in to your HomeForensicsAI account and create an API key in your dashboard. It takes a few seconds.

Send a photo
Your app sends one photo of a room to our API, with your key. JPEG, PNG and WebP photos up to 15 MB all work.

Get the result
In a second or two you get back what the AI found, how confident it is, and whether the photo was clear enough to check.
What it looks for
Eight common problems, one photo
Six AI models look at every photo and compare their answers, so a result is only flagged when they agree enough.

Black spots and fungal growth, often around windows and in corners.

POST /v1/assess checks one photo.GET /v1/usage shows how many checks you've used this month.
Fair limits
Each account has a monthly allowance, and each key can send up to 30 photos a minute. Every answer tells you how many checks you have left.
What counts as a check
A check counts when you get a result, including "this photo isn't clear enough to check". Errors on our side never count.
Clear error messages
If something's wrong, such as a missing key or a photo that's too big, the answer explains what happened in plain words.

Keys are shown once and stored securely. You can delete a key at any time, and it stops working straight away.
Guidance, not a survey
Results show what the AI can see in a photo. They help you decide what to look at more closely, but they don't replace a professional inspection or diagnose the cause.
