2What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser “local storage”, work in a comparable way. In this notice, “cookies” covers both.

Our server also keeps limited security, visit and audit records. These are not cookies, but they can be personal information and are covered by our Privacy notice.
4Third-party content
Our pages load typefaces from an external web font provider. To deliver them, your browser connects to the provider's servers, which receive your IP address and basic browser information. The font provider does not set cookies. See our Privacy notice for how service providers are used.
5Our cookie banner
When you first visit, a banner tells you that we use essential cookies only and links to this notice. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), consent is not required for storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested — such as keeping you signed in or securing uploads — or for remembering a choice you have made. Everything listed above falls within these exemptions, so the banner informs you rather than asking for consent, and it does not offer a “reject” option because rejecting these cookies would stop sign-in from working.
Our commitment
If we ever introduce analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, they will stay switched off until you have been given clear information and have actively chosen to allow them.
6Managing cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies above will stop sign-in and assessment uploads from working. Clearing browser storage resets your appearance preference.
